General Questions

How should I care for my bag?

Never machine wash or dry your bag. We recommend spot cleaning.  For our leather we recommend leather conditioners, but you may let the your natural skin oils condition the bag. After 15 days from the time you received your bag, Ixchel Triangle will no longer assume responsibility for repairs of your product. We are happy to assist you with where you can have your bag repaired.

Is everything really done by hand?

Our weavings organically dyed and are 100% hand woven. The leather is stained, then cut by hand. A sewing machine is only used during the final stage of making our bags to sow the leather trim. 

Will there be two items that are exactly the same?

If your product features Guatemalan weaving then no. Since all of our weavings are done by hand, no two weavings will ever be exactly the same. Take heart that you will have one of a kind piece of art that literally no one else has. Our leather lines have similar construction but the variations in color or perhaps a brand or two make each piece unique.

The leather on my bag contains spots or has discoloration, is this normal?

Our leather collection is made with the highest quality genuine full hide leather.  The spots are organic and natural to the hide.  We love the unique character of the leather rather then mass produced bags. Since the leather is all hand stained, its attributes varies.

Are you fair trade certified?

We are a young, small company and not yet fair trade certified. However, our artisans are paid above market wages for theirs skills. We do not participate in factory or child labor.

Do you take wholesale orders?

Yes!  Please email info@ixcheltriangle for information on our wholesale policy. 

Do you take custom orders?

As of right now we do not take custom orders.  However, if you have a special request please email info@ixcheltriangle.com, because we love new ideas and we love satisfying our customers.

Shipping questions

When can I expect my order?

We ship within 48-72 hrs. of receiving an order, using USPS. We love supporting our United States Postal Service and they support us with 2 day shipping. 

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we do! International shipping is automatically calculated with USPS shipping rates.  Please be aware that customs and duties taxes may be charged and are determined by the destination country upon arrival. These are not included in your shipping costs. Ixchel Triangle is not responsible for these fees and cannot determine how much they will be.

Returns and Exchanges

What is your return policy?

Items purchased full price unused may be returned for a refund/exchange within 14 days of purchase minus 20% restocking fee.  All sales are final with items purchased on sale or with a discount code.  

What is your exchange policy?

Our products are one of a kind and sell out quickly.  We suggest if you would like to do an exchange, and it meets the requirements, place a new order for the exchange bag to insure you get the one you want. We cannot pull a bag from the website before we process the returned item. Please make sure to be in contact with us about your exchange.

My item came damaged, what do I do?

We take great care to inspect all merchandise before shipping,but we are human. If you feel that your merchandise is defective or damaged, please email us at info@ixcheltriangle.com upon receipt your purchase. Please include photos of the defect in your email.

I used my item but decided I want to return it, what do I do?

Since we are a small business we do not accept used items for returns.
